Distance to Letterbox: 100 yards
Fort Knox and the observation tower on the bridge were both worth the visit. The tower has great view (and box is near it). The fort is one of the best designs I have ever seen. Take your time to explore all the hidden tunnels. It was named for Henry Knox. FEE
Directions:
From Sandy Point, go north on Hwy 1 to just before bridge. Turn left at sign and go to entry booth for the park.
To the Letterbox:
You don't have to buy ticket to go to top of tower to get box. Park in lot for tower, then walk to it. Go right around the right side to back right corner. Go right from there to the first big rock in line of 5 big rocks. Go to the back left side, under lip with rock in front of box.
