Pleasant Wimberley was born in Wake County, North Carolina on May 2, 1823 and eventually moved to Blanco County in Texas. In the 1870s, he moved with his family to Cude's Mill, and when he bought the mill from Cude the town changed its name to Wimberley's Mill. In 1880, the name Wimberleyville was submitted to the post office which dropped the "ville" from the name, and the town became Wimberley. Pleasant Wimberley died on January 30, 1919 and is buried in the Wimberley Cemetery, where this box can be found.

Directions:
Go northeast on Old Kyle Rd about 0.4 mile to Wimberley Cemetery on the left just before Blue Hole Rd. Turn left into cemetery and go left at first jct, staying left at next jct as road bends right. Park by rounded Gumbert stone on right with stone bench behind it (name is on other side).
Clues:
Walk to stone bench and continue 18 steps to grave of Pleasant Wimberley. Facing front of tombstone, go 4 steps to right side of stone for John Stapleton. LB is under right side of cement slab behind a rock. Please be discreet and replace as described.
