This letterbox is part of the GO and Build a Better World! program in Adams County. It will be available from June 3, 2017 to July 29, 2017. Further details about the program may be found at www.goadams.org.

The GO and Build a Better World! program requires you to search for up to 15 “landmarks” – wooden posts with engraved plates on them, instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please use a colored pencil or crayon to carefully rub the impression onto your GO and Build a Better World! rubbing sheet, available for free at any Adams County Library.

GO Adams! level of difficulty = Moderate

- Park in the Green Event and Museum Parking Lot.
- Locate the “Authorized Vehicles Only” sign at the lower end of the parking lot. Your trek starts here.
- Follow this path as it turns from blacktop to red. After you pass the house, the path will turn to the right.
- When you reach the sign next to the bench, note its number on the walking tour. ___
- Continue along the trail as it winds around the brick building and uphill.
- In two more signs, you should read about the habitat of this location. At what elevation is this ridge? ___ If you add these three digits together, you should have the same number as noted in the first blank above.
- Stay on the path until it reaches the road. Carefully cross on the brick crosswalk and follow the trail around the stone wall.
- As you walk downhill on this path, you will eventually notice an evergreen tree alone in front of a wetland area on your right. The post is located ___ (# from above) paces beyond this tree.
- Return to the path, turn right and continue your journey.
- When you reach the T intersection, turn right and walk up the tree-lined path.
- Carefully cross the driveway, turn left after the electrical box and then right before the next building.
- Follow the paths back to the sidewalk along the main road, turn right and carefully cross on the crosswalk back to the parking lot.
