This letterbox is part of the GO and Build a Better World! program in Adams County. It will be available from June 3, 2017 to July 29, 2017. Further details about the program may be found at www.goadams.org.

The GO and Build a Better World! program requires you to search for up to 15 “landmarks” – wooden posts with engraved plates on them, instead of a traditional letterbox and stamp. Please use a colored pencil or crayon to carefully rub the impression onto your GO and Build a Better World! rubbing sheet, available for free at any Adams County Library.

GO Adams! level of difficulty = Moderate

- As you enter the park, park in the first paved lot on the left (facing the baseball fields).
- Locate and begin at the Esther Little Trail across the main park road.
- Follow the gravel trail; you will pass soccer fields on your right.
- Cross over the wooden bridge and stay right on the trail. A fenced-in area on your left is ahead.
- Pass the fenced-in area and, when you reach the gravel driveway, turn left and walk to the stop sign.
- Carefully cross the road and walk across the grass toward a cluster of trees. A baseball field should come into view.
- As you near the trees and field, you should notice another wooden bridge in the distance. Walk to it.
- Upon reaching the bridge (with an owl to its right), turn left on the gravel trail. Do not cross the bridge!
- The trail will cross yet another wooden bridge. Immediately after crossing, you should notice a “family” bench. The post will be located near the bush to the right of the bench.
- Continue along the trail around the like. When you reach the maintenance shed, take a slight left and then right onto the paved road.
- Pass the concessions stand and a pavilion, and you should reach an intersection in the road.
- Carefully walk across to the gravel trail and follow it – to the right – back across the bridge and to where your vehicle is parked.

Hike length: 1-2 miles
