Distance to Letterbox: 1/2 Mile round trip
Difficulty: Easy
So, I (a simple bear) was hiking in this new park I found. I kept feeling like something bad was around, haunting me as I hiked, but I kept going. Finally I decided to sit down on a bench and see if I could figure out what the evil force was. Then a heard a noise behind me, so climbing over the rocks and found this beating heart......BUT IT WAS ALL BLACK. I looked up and saw its owner, lurking behind a tree......Yes, none other than Ira Boxer. I knew he had to have a black heart since his soul is full of tar.
The box is in Kleck Park. This would be a great park for more boxes.
Directions:
From Hwy 281, go east on Hwy 46. Turn left on Stahl Ln, and go about 2 1.2 miles to park sign. Turn in left and park.
To the Letterbox:
Take the left trail. Pass numbered birdhouse area. At first trail junction, stay straight. At second trail junction stay straight again. Soon, you will arrive at bench on left. Go behind bench and follow the rock pile to just past the 2nd small juniper tree. In middle of rocks, see lighter colored one placed on top. Box is under that rock.
**** I saw poison ivy in area, so be careful.
