To the Park:
lassoloC evaC niatnuoM kraP is located at 16721 E Old Spanish Trail, in Vail, Arizona. It is exit 279 off the I10 (Wentworth Road Exit). Go north on Wentworth to traffic light at T and make a right. Follow Pistol Hill Road until it intersects with Old Spanish Trail Road and turn right.

There is no entrance fee for the park but please be aware the front gates and the picnic areas close at 5 pm. There may be extended hours in summer but it's best to call to find out on the day you'll be visiting.

To the boxes: All reading are magnetic.
Make your way to the aL atsoP adameuQ picnic area and park there.

Box 1: Stand at the SW side of the fire pit on the large grassy area in the group picnic area. Walk 20 steps at 240* to the pole. At around 280*, spy a small (4 ft?) saguaro with a cholla to its left about 60 steps away. Go to the saguaro. Once there, locate a mesquite tree at 65* about 10 steps away. Box is under a rock at the base of the tree.

Box 2: *** this box has been washed away
From the parking area, find Buck McCain's tribute and then find the Ranch Headquarters sign. Make your way over to the sign. Look behind it (there might be vegetation in your way) to spy a mesquite with a white-trunked tree growing right out of the middle of it. Box is at the base of the mesquite and white-trunked tree.

Box 3: Behind the group picnic area ramada, find a row of 40 poles (about 3-4 high). Follow the poles to the last one and stop. At about 305* is a mesquite tree on top of a small hill/incline. 20 steps takes you to that tree. Box is at the base under a rock.

Box 4: *** this box is missing
From the parking area, find the Gale Bundrick trail sign. Look for a snake and a bat. See them? To their left is a prickly pear. Look under a rock by the prickly pear.

Box 5: Come see me and answer my question.... :-)

Please put everything back as you found it and make it look as natural as possible so the next finder has the same opportunity you did.

Hike length: 0.5 miles
