Start at the north parking lot of Sellwood Park, near the corner of SE 7th Ave and SE Sellwood Blvd. After a short walk along the fence, you will come upon the beginning of the Oaks Bottom Bluff Trail. Hike down the trail to the bottom of the hill, turn right. Follow this until you arrive at the lake. When the trail splits, go right and immediately you will come upon two large stone benches. The stones form an arrow that points up the hill, over a wall of mossy stone, and directly to a voluminous octopus lying on its back, its tentacli reaching up to the heavens. Gaze deep into the belly of this beast.

Hike length: 0.5 miles
