This box was placed in honor of my beautiful niece Haley Moon. She lives out of state with her mom and I am lucky to see her once a year. And every time she is found with a jar of pickles in hand. I chose this quirky, unique and beautiful sculpture garden for her box because she is all of those things And much more.
To find this box you will need to head to lakenenland. It is located on M28, 9 miles east of Marquette Upper Michigan. It is a sculpture park with over 80 iron sculptures made of scrap metal from various construction sites. It can be driven through or walked. There are two fishing ponds, band shell, grilling area, park and fabulous sculptures. It is free of charge and open 24/7/365. Donations accepted but not expected.
Start out on the drive through. You can walk this road or drive. Look for an owl in a nest. You cant miss this tall tree sculpture with an owl at its top.At its base are many rocks. Walk to its left and find the beam. Inside the beam and inbetween it and a rock is your treasure. Stamp up and enjoy the many sculptures. And sign the parks log book at the end. What a cool Place!
