1) Ride to Battery Russell and park bike at bike rack.
2) Sample huckleberries behind the bike rack.
3) Walk up the hill past the sign regarding "Open Pits and Drop-offs"
4) Walk past Battery Russell.
5) Read Commemorative plaque: "May Peace between our nations be everlasting."
6) Continue through metal gates on left of the commemorative plaque.
7) When you reach the run-down fort, proceed up the old wooden steps.
8) Admire the view and listen for the ocean.
9) Facing toward the ocean, proceed to the second building after the top of the stairs. It has a plaque on it: "Battery Mishler"
10) Facing the plaque, inside the far end of the right roof overhand, behind the second hanging down wood block, you will find your treasure!
