Park at the Hog's Lake trailhead on HWY 36 East of Red Bluff. Pass through the gate and continue down the gravel road until you come to a fork at a sweeping bend in the road. Follow the road up the slight grade to the right and look for the tallest boulder on the hill. From this boulder you should see a large fallen tree 80 steps away at approximately 250 degrees magnetic. What you seek is hidden under debris in the hollow stump of this tree.
