Some basic softball/baseball knowledge is required. This park is VERY busy in the summer so be aware before you make a long trip. If games are taking place, you may have no chance of getting the box without being seen. Enjoy our first Letterbox plant!
Enter Frew Memorial Park from Canal Road. Go right and park at the brick place where you can cool down with a drink in the shade. After your break, go to the SE corner of the shelter. Stand on the right of the brick column facing away from the building. At 179°, take 59 steps (Each foot fall = 1). You should be standing at a green AEP box. At 227°, take 24 steps. Say, "Doh!" to Rick. Notice the number of name blocks there are from the top of the memorial to Rick including Rick. Remember this number. It might come in handy. Walk to the back side of the memorial and stand in the center of the wall. At 237°, walk 80 steps. Now, remember that number from the memorial wall? Find that field number and you are almost "home" free. Find where "Home" sits. Take a little rest up against the wall which should be on your right when you sit. Reach between the wall and bottom bench support. Your "Fastpitch Fireball!" will be up under this bench. Careful, don't get burned! This baby is packin' heat!
