At the end you will come to a parking lot. Park as far to the left (west) as you can as if you are about to leave this parking area. You will see a small trail that heads generally westerly and down hill. Take this trail for a short walk. You will observe a large rocky outcropping on your right. Just past this where the trail begins to be less steep you will see a pair of small rocky mounds also to the right. Head off the trail and investigate these basaltic mounds. On the opposite side from the trail there are 3 smallish Douglas Fir trees of various sizes. A branch hangs over the back side of the rock outcropping furthest from the trail. I found a volleyball (partially deflated) sized hole where I hid this letterbox. It is now covered with a rock and some pine needles.
