This is a letterbox with a couple of little treasures. Please stamp the book, sign it and feel free to exchange treasures.

Winnebago Chief, Mą́zamąnį́g, who was later known as the "Iron Walker" lived here during European exploration. Over time, Mą́zamąnį́g has gone through many transformations to today's prononuciation of the town where this cache is found. The English name of Mą́zamąnį́g is a clue as to where to find this cache.

This town is also located on a railway line between Milwaukee and LaCrosse - between Lake Michigan and the Mississippi River. It also leads in to the Wisconsin River, which also flows in to the Mississppi River. By some accounts, this central location on train and water routes made this town a candidate to the the capital of Wisconsin - albeit, never a serious candidate.

To find this box, you'll need to find the park referenced in the clue. I suggest taking Hwy 14 into Mazo and turning on Walter Road. As you pull in the park's parking lot, you'll have to stop your car, but you can almost walk directly to the trail entrance. Look for a small bridge that takes you over Black Earth Creek. You'll walk straight in to a park sign that informs you it's ok to ride horses, hike and bring leashed dogs. An arrow tells you where to go. Do the opposite. If you were snowmobiling in the winter, you might stop at the sign for the 36W Corridor. You're right there.
