Hints for Moccasin Lane (edited 7/27/24)
1. Start the Moccasin Trail just behind the large trail map sign to the left of the Nature Center Outhouse.
2. Walk past Marker #10 with a patch of moccasin flowers just behind a juniper bush. Continue straight along the trail.
3. Walk across a wooden walkway near the water, and a large boulder on the right.
4. The trail curves to the right. Look for a young balsam fir on the right and a low spreading juniper on the left.
5. Just past the balsam is an old rotten stump with lichen, moss and even a small bush growing out of it. Look for the letterbox around the stump.
6. CONGRATULATIONS YOU FOUND IT! Stamp the journal page and add your name (or nickname) and date. Stamp your own journal if you have one. Please put everything back in the letterbox and close the ziplock bag and hide it in the same place. We hope this was a fun adventure for you!
