As you travel Interstate 59 south, into Alabama, take a break at the welcome center. Park in the first [or as close as you can] on the left in the passenger car parking area. Take a walk toward the highway, east side of the parking lot, and go to the the third picnic table from the north. From here take a few more steps to the east and align yourself with the highway sign for exit 239, Sulphur Springs. Now follow the tree line in a northerly direction, with the highway on your right and the tree line on your left, for 75-80 steps. You should be beside a large oak tree. Look at its base for this star that fell on Alabama.
