If you start on the paved exercise trail from the parking lot area, head to the left. Once you reach the vault bar station, continue on the trail, taking approximately 75 steps. You'll see a shallow drainage ditch that's all rocks on the left side of the path. About five steps beyond that on the left is a fallen log in a bunch of brush. Look behind that log.
