During a period of economic downturn in the country, a successful business or two have been closed permanently due to corporate downsizing and other unforeseen circumstances. One such business is Conroy's Flowers. The business was founded in 1961, and more recently Conroy's Flowers was acquired by Teleway, Inc., the parent company of 1-800-FLOWERS, in October 1994. Conroy's/1-800- FLOWERS, based in Long Beach, California.
Locate the closed Conroy's Flowers at 5972 Beach Blvd., in Buena Park, CA. It has been closed since April of 2012. You can easily park on the lot or in the nearby McDonald's parking lot.
Walk to the northeast corner of the property and locate a short retaining wall. Look inside the fourth brick from the end (by McDonald's), it should be missing its capstone. Carefully retrieve your prize and retreat to a nearby retaining wall to stamp in.
As always please try to return the box to where you found it and replace the leaves, detritus, debris, etc, back over the box. I'm listing this as a limited time box as I am hopeful that things will turn around and this location will once again be home to a thriving business.
