If you want a two mile stroll, begin at the blue/red trailhead off Pickett Lane, behind Coginchaug High School. The shortest route, under a half mile round trip, to this letterbox is from the Blue/Red trailhead on Bear Rock Road in Durham.
Follow the Blue/Red trail until it meets the Orange trail near Bear Road.
There is an old house foundation here.
Stand on the front stoop and site 310 degrees (NW) to a big ole' wolf tree.
Between it and a tiny tree there are some rocks where the great hunter awaits.
