Take exit 8 off of Route 9. Heading South on route 9, take a right at the end of the exit. Heading North take a left. Pass the state park sign on the left and from there watch carefully on the right for a small pull-off. The green trail starts here.
Take the green trail crossing over a wooden bridge and head uphill. The blazes may be sparse at times in the beginning. When you get to a tree on the right that tells you the trail goes uphill or to the left, go left. Follow this through a valley of pines until the trail takes a sharp right up a hill. Follow this up, going through laurels that narrow the trail. Start looking to your left for a two sister on the left that is maybe shoulder height, the trail will turn left there and you will have a rock ledge on the left with a green blazed tree on the left and on the top of the ledge is a four fingered tree. The box is down low behind the blazed tree stuffed in a crevice behind a rock.
If you get to another bridge you've gone too far.
