Clues: Easy
Terrain: Easy

The Ottauquechee River formed a 165 foot deep, 1 mile long gorge at the end of the last Ice Age. It is the only outlet for a large glacial lake. The first bridge was built for the Rail Road in 1875. Later, in 1911, the current bridge was built and used for the Rail Road until 1933.

This is a spectacular sight that you really must try to see if you're in the area. There are many shops & restaurants nearby and if you like to camp check out Quechee State Park!

Quechee Gorge is on Route 4, can't miss it!

Clues: Park by the gift ship closest to the gorge and head towards the gorge. You have 2 choices here, go to the right and follow the trail towards the waterfall. You will go down a slight hill and the trail will open out to a picnic area. The path continues on the other sideof the picnic area.

Continue on and you will go down a small hill with many roots. Pass a spot where it is open to the road on your right. Down another hill, then a third one that is longer and more gradual. Stop at the overlook area to look at the waterfall.

Turn with your back to the fence and look across the path. There is another path right in front of you leading to the road. Go up this path almost to the road, look to your left and notice the dead tree on the ground. You will find the Quechee Gorge LB under the end of the tree. Please rehide well. The path continues for a short distance. Retrace your steps.
