This is one in a series of boxes planted in the state game lands of northeastern Pennsylvania. If you seek this box, please be aware of hunting seasons. I recommend wearing blaze orange any time of year. I don't recommend seeking this box during deer season, except on Sundays.
State Game Lands 160 is located in Schuylkill County, on PA-895 east of Pine Grove, PA. To find the parking lot, just find your way to Pine Grove (I-81 exits 100 & 104 work well), and then take PA-443 until you hit 895. Head east on 895 for about 2-3 miles, and you’ll see a State Game Lands parking lot on your right. Park there.
Clues:
* Go to the eastern end of the parking lot, and you’ll see a trail heading southeast. (There is a birdhouse marking the trail.) Take this trail.
* When you reach the Little Swatara Creek, the trail will turn left (bearing about 80*). Check out the creek if you like, and then continue on the trail.
* When the trail turns left again, instead head straight into a pine grove(!), following a faint eastbound trail.
* 14 paces in, sight a tree slightly larger than its neighbors on the left, at the edge of the clearing.
* Suspicious pile of sticks underneath.
* Please rehide well.
