Aug 2012 update: just checked in on this box and all is well!
Hike up the Rhododendron Trail and join the Appalachian Trail heading to Mount Rodgers. When you approach a fence marking the boundary to the State Park you will find a brown sign facing backwards welcoming you to Grayson Highlands State Park. Turn around and face/read the sign and look to your left about 25 paces and note 2 evergreens along the fence next to a boulder. Search near the base of the boulder and find the first letterbox planted by 2 families who love camping together. Watch for fellow hikers and nosy ponies when retrieving and replacing the box! Enjoy this beautiful park and say hi to any thru-hikers you see!
