This is our 5th box in Favorites Places in NH and is in honor of our favorite place to stay when we're in the Lakes Region - Proctor's Lakehouse Cottages on Weirs Blvd. The stamp is a lake view of the beautiful cottages & property (minus the trees - I'm not talented enough to get those in the stamp!)
FYI The stamp is LARGE but gives you great sense of the beauty of Proctors!
CLUES:
To maintain privacy for those staying at the cottages, we've placed this one off-site, just around the corner at a public park.
Driving Directions - Head up Weirs Blvd, toward the Weirs. At the intersection, take a right onto East Edicott Street. Then take the first left into the Logs of Fun Arcade/Mini Golf parking lot. Park as close as you can to the street-side front corner of the mini-golf course.
Walking Directions. Just behind the course is a small public walking park. The entrance to it is just before the blue "Welcome to Weirs Beach" sign and under the telephone pole with signs for "East Endicott Street" and "North Endicott Street" (not a typo - they do read "East & North".
Take the red bricked pathway through the park. You should now be between the Channel & the mini-golf course. Across the Channel you'll see Weirs Beach. Follow the pathway all the way, passing benches & a lighthouse decoration.
As you're nearing the end of the walkway, there will be 3 sets of stairs, each contain 3-step that follow a rocks wall. On the middle step of set 3, you'll notice a group of 3 smaller rocks about at eye level. Your treasure is behind these rocks! Just so you know you're in the right area, it's behind Hole 16 on the mini-golf course!
The stairs lead you back to the parking lot, since the walkway is a giant loop.
