Leaving Wapiti, heading towards Yellowstone I received many calls from family & friends trying to figure out where we were. It was a whirlwind weekend trip from our home to Cheyenne, WY & back! Laughing about it & with supplies to do so, we made up a letterbox for the occasion.
Watch for the "Shoshone National Forest Entry" sign. (Remember, you are leaving Wapiti & heading to Yellowstone!) There is a pullout with points of interest on the right side. Park here. Look towards the big park and spot the lone pine. There is a large sage on the park side. There you will find "us" under and between 2 rocks.
