This letterbox is in the Blue Hills Reservation in Milton, MA.
Take exit 3 off Route 93 south of Boston.
Follow signs to park in main Houghton’s Pond parking lot (by the beach and playground, NOT by the picnic sites).
At far end of beach, take the yellow dot trail hugging the pond.
Keep following the yellow dot trail, past some picnic tables.
When you are almost directly across the pond from the beachhouse, you'll come to a little clearing with a large triangular-shaped rock in front of you.
Stand beside this rock with your back to the pond and walk 26 adult steps forward (start by walking between the 2 small trees in front of you)
Turn 90 degrees to the right and walk 12 steps forward.
You’ll see a fallen tree in 4 parts.
Look under the section that is about 5 ft long.
