Making Memories

Location: Rockingham Meeting House, Meeting House Rd., Rockingham VT
Difficulty: Easy
Time: About 20 minutes (or as long as you want to explore)

For some years now my sister & I have traveled to Rockingham VT once a year to spend a weekend scrapbooking & preserving memories. Over the years we’ve created our own wonderful memories of our time together, the people we’ve met & our most gracious hosts Renee, Pam & Carl & of course Brandy, Rocko & now Gracie. Every year we look forward to our time at The Inn at Cranberry Farm (www.cranberryfarminn.com). This year we decided to combine two of our favorite pastimes scrapbooking & letterboxing & planted this box to commemorate our wonderful times at a truly beautiful inn in Rockingham.

Direction: From Rt. 91 take Exit 6 to Rt. 103 North. At about .8 of a mile take a left onto Meeting House Rd. (across from the Kingdom Hall). The Meeting House will be on your right. You can park in the driveway in front of the chain or along the street.

CLUES:
Walk up the driveway to the Meeting House & check out the plaque that explains its interesting history. Facing the building enter the cemetery through the gate to your left & immediately turn to the right. Start walking towards the back of the cemetery, noticing first the unusual headstone on your left (someone is resting comfortably), keep going past the wrought iron enclosure, look up & check out this view. Go all the way to the last row, turn left & walk along the fence. Check out the Pittaway headstone on your left. Continue to the end of the fence & go around to your right. See the two sister tree. Go to the tree & looking up at the fence find the first post to the left of the sisters. CAREFULLY look in the stonewall directly below the fence post. Search carefully as this is an old wall & should be treated with respect.

After stamping rehide & cover well, you’ve now made your own memory!

HAPPY LETTERBOXING!
