This is a very easy one and great for kids!!!
You want to locate the Red Jacket Resort right in the heart of North Conway. Drive all the way around the Red Jacket, past the Kahuna Laguna (great indoor waterpark if you ever get a chance to visit!!!) and into the upper back parling lot. You should be facing a row off trees with a large white wall behind you.
If you look at the row of trees, you will notice large black light posts. Locate the 2nd black post from the back of the property (it would be the third from the front of the property or the rte 16 side). Look two trees to the left of this post and you will see a trail. Approach this trail and you will notice a second (much smaller) trail to the right. It begins at an orange property marker. This smaller trail is the one you want!!!
Follow this path for a short distance and you will see two groups of birch trees. Go directly between these and you will come upon a teepee looking structure. Through the middle of this teepee is a broken birch tree. Step over this broken tree and turn to your right. Follow the tree to the end and you will come upon a second, living birch tree. If you look directly behind this one, you will spot a log. You will find your prize buried beside this log under some leaves. Go Sox!!!!
Please note that the main trail is on private property. The smaller trail is also on private property but this is the property of letterboxers and your searching will be welcomed!! Have fun!
