Young Frankenstein: Out on the Town LbNA #48616 (ARCHIVED)

From Memphis, heading east on Walnut Grove Rd, turn left on Farm Rd (at a stop light) into Shelby Farms. About 1/2 mile turn right and park by the Visitor's Center. Get a trail map here if you want. Start on the trail this paved 2.75 mile trail across from the Visitor's Center, with a sign that indicates Dogs Must be on Leash. Pass the 0.25 mile sign and the 0.5 mile sign. Continue on the paved trail. Turn right onto a dirt path that has a sign "Horses Prohibited Beyond this Point". Go about half a mile, then turn right on a smaller trail on the right with another sign that says "Horses Prohibited Beyond this Point". Cross the wood bridge, with the last step being quite a doozy. Go straight, about 30 steps on this narrow trail, you will step over a barbed wire fence that has been pushed down. You will see a huge fallen tree on the left. The letterbox is nestled in the dirt where the roots of this huge tree used to be.
