The Stream Line LbNA #47631
*UPDATE 2/1/25* The box has been replanted and clues have been updated!
Map: https://marlboroughct.recdesk.com/RecDeskPortal/Portals/32/panther-path-interpretive%20signs-2-18-2024.pdf
"Do not enter school grounds when school is in session" - is noted on the map of the area.
Clue:
1. Make your way to the intersection with the "special" stone wall (labeled #16 on the map)
2. Turn in a westerly direction onto the side-trail here, and use your balance to get past the stream
[Alternate route to avoid stream crossing (less direct): find your way to the intersection where the red-blazed trail meets the path annotated with "No bridge" on map linked above]
3. Look for a rusty chain encircling a stump on the right side of the trail (after crossing stream), and take a right into the woods towards the stream where it looks like a water fall.
4. There is a leaning tree near the stream with boulders to its left. Go to the back corner where 2 of the boulders meet to find your box covered under an old piece of wood and a rock.
Please rehide well!
There are other boxes along these trails, so be sure to check them out!
