This is a great walk in a beautiful forest; it takes about ten minutes.

Green Acres Park in Runnemede is not on the map. You'll find it at the end of Dettmar Terrace; you can drive in at the end of the dead-end.

After you park, keep walking down the driveway past the basketball courts until you get to the helicopter pad (it's just an asphalt cul-de-sac in the middle of nowhere). There are two trails you can take. One is the the right; it is paved, and there is a break in the guard rail. Don't take that one. We're doing things the hard way. Take the trail at 11:00.

Once you've climbed over the barrier, start walking down the sandy path. Ignore any paths to the water on your left. Bear right at the fork. There will be a swampy-looking lake on your right. The path will curve to the right, taking you around the lake; at the curve, there is a medium-sized tree in the middle of the path. Continue to bear right. At the fork, bear right again. There will be a straight, deep, murky creek to your left.

At the next fork, keep left; this will bring you into a clearing with a rope hanging over the creek for swinging out and jumping into the water (from the looks of the creek, I would not recommend it). If you keep going through this clearing, straight ahead there will be a stump about waist-high and waist-thick in the bushes. Behind it, the trail continues.

The path immediately drops down into a little valley and then goes back up again. Your way will get curvy and rooty; be careful! When you come down the root stairs, you'll pass three skinny stumps on the left, each one successively shorter. Now you're close! On the right, mixed in with all the boring trees, will be a big dark tree with a lot of trunks. Some of the trunks jut out to the right at an angle close to the ground. It's about six or eight paces off the trail. You'll know it's the tree because across the trail on the other side is a short path leading to the water.

The box is hidden at the base of the tree. Hide it well!
