This is the second of what was seven stashes (or is it 'staches?) hidden in uptown Waterloo. Unfortunately, a few of the boxes have gone missing, so there's only 4 left. The boxes are placed such that you could do all of them in an afternoon, if you park at Uptown Waterloo Square and walk or bike to each location. For this particular clue, there is also parking available on the street or in a nearby lot close to the intersection that is your starting point. These boxes are hidden in somewhat visible areas, so please use great stealth in retrieving and replacing them. Have fun!

Begin at the 'T' where Regina meets William. On the same side of the street as the pumps, there is a green circle and an arrow. Follow the arrow's directions. As you walk, count the number of “yellow loops” that you pass. When you come to the third loop, turn right. There is a compass up ahead, bordered by 3 flags. The arrow pointing to the water is north; follow the trail going north-east. Follow this trail until you arrive at a crossroads (of sorts) marked by a lone pine tree.

Change directions and walk along the train tracks to the right. Keep following the tracks through the intersection marked by 3 exes. When you emerge from your trek through the wilds, cross the street and continue following the tracks. Through a thin line of trees marking the border between the tracks and the park, you will pass a small grassy hill followed by a trio of evergreens. Past all that, just before the rusty gate, there is a path leading toward an old tree. What you seek is deep inside the tree trunk.

NOTE: When returning the box, you will need to position it carefully inside the tree trunk so that it does not fall out again.
