Adventures At Borderland
Go to Borderland State Park, park, walk towards visitor center.
Take the trail that leads to Leach Pond, visitor center should now be on your left.
Watch out for frisbees, this is a frisbee golf course.
At the fork in the trail take a right, the water should be straight ahead of you.
Look for the place "for all to enjoy", sit, enjoy the view. Zoe wants you to listen to the stream, it was her favorite part. Look to your left, there is a small house, walk towards it. Follow this trail, so that the house is on your left, it will lead you to a main trail. Take a right at the main trail.
When you come to a sign for the West side Trail Loop, take a left and follow this path. Look for large rocks on your right, keep going straight ahead on this trail. As you head slightly uphill look for the rock beneath triangle, go past it and continue on the trail. You will come to a small wooden bridge, cross it and continue on the trail. You will start to head uphill again, notice the old rock wall on your left , as you get to the top of the hill there are two trees with initials on your right. keep on heading up hill, to the large rock formation on the right. Take a right and walk to the large rocks. Look for the largest flat rock, step on it and face the trail. Now turn and look directly behind you. Look down, you will see a space between the large mossy rock and a smaller rock. Our letter box is hidden in this space behind some leaves. Please sign our book, and carefully put it back for others to find.
Now go back to the trail, you can go left and go back the way you came. Or, go right head up a bit and enjoy the walk back to the visitors center. If you go right, just follow the rocky trail. If you go left head back down to where you started and you can enjoy other parts of the park.
