UPDATE: 4/19/2019 - Our bouquet has been cut in half. There are now only two boxes out of six left.
Make your way to Bonney Woods. This is an easy walking trail found on Anson Street in Farmington. Parking is limited on the side of the road. Begin your stroll by heading left on the trail. You will soon come to a newly hewn bench. Turn right, but begin looking left to a very tall hemlock, with a rock on the far side. "Tiger Lily" can be found hidden behind this rock.
Continue on the trail. Shortly, on your right, you should spy two boulders on the right of the trail with a huge hemlock behind the boulders. Our "Lady Slipper", can be found behind this tree.
Turn right. The trail now meanders down around. You will see a small troll bridge off to the right and a longer bridge straight ahead. Either direction is fine! Both will take you back toward your vehicle.
Continue on and up the trail. Soon you will arrive back at the Powder House Trail sign, near your vehicle. Turn and face the woods. See the faint markings of a trail behind the sign? Walking 28 PACES, not steps, on that trail will take you to an older birch, with its roots exposed, on the left. At its base is the perfect hiding place for "Echinacea". Here you will also find the log book for this series.
Please rehide all boxes better than you found them, as this is a favorite spot for locals to take their daily walks. Let us know of your finds and the conditions of the boxes and their hiding places.
