This is our first letterbox placement. We placed it on Valentine’s day hence the Valentine in its name :). This box is located along a public walking path and should be available all year round. There is a fence with breaks on the road side and a ravine without a fence on the left so watch the pets and children :). Parking is limited (at the school on weekends ???? and on Roxbury street with some limits.)

CLUES
Once you arrive at 14th Avenue and Roxbury , look for the windmill ( seen from 14th avenue east of Roxbury). Standing south of the windmill facing east, you will see spruce trees on your right and a playground and pond on your left.

Proceed east, count 10 spruce trees you will arrive at two benches. (These are the second set – the first set is near the windmill). From the east side of the east bench, walk approximately 45 paces (between the fourth and fifth spruce trees), turn south and you with see a live cedar (three trees into one) and 5 dead trunks at its base.

The camouflaged letterbox rests between the live tree and stumps at its base. You have to reach over the fence to get it. This 5 X 7 inch box contains a homemade stamp, log book and a traveler (please leave at least one traveler in the box at any time), remember to bring a pen, and a stamp pad. If you want, feel free to drop us a note after you visit letting us know if box needs attention or your thoughts.

This trail is used frequently so be discreet when retrieving and returning letterbox.
Enjoy the rest of your walk.
