NOTE: I CURRENTLY HAVE THIS LETTERBOX. I am giving it a makeover. The logbook is wet and moldy, so I'm going to replace it. I'm going to give it new bags and maybe a new case. I may also make a new stamp and will probably rehide in a less obvious place. I don't want anyone to find it if they're not looking for it. I'll update this page once the box is rehidden. (But, in the meantime if you want to find one of my boxes, please check out my two newly hidden letterboxes "Would You Care for a Strawberry?" and "Mysterious Footprints". Have fun searching!

CLUES:
Alright, this letterbox is hidden at Borderland State Park in Sharon. You'll want to enter where the Visitor's center and Ame's Mansion are located. Begin at the Visitor's center. From there, head over to the Ame's Mansion. You should be able to see it from where you are, but if you can't, the sign will point you in the right direction. When you get there, stand directy facing the mansion and turn left. You'll go down a small staircase right away once you get under the trees. In the winter, these steps are covered in snow and quite icey, and the only visible landmark is the handrail so be VERY CAREFUL. Anyway, when you reach the bottom of the stairs, go straight. Then go under the arbor, and downhill until you see a large holly bush. This is you final landmark. I won't tell you exactly where The Mermaid of Borderland is, but I wil tell you this:

-It is near the holly bush, but not in it
-The place where it is can be seen from the road, but the letterbox itself can't
-it's up fairly high, but someone who is 5'1 and possibly even shorter can reach it
-it's surrouned by branches

When you find it, have someone with you put their hand in the exact place the letterbox was in while you do all the letterboxing rituals. This is because it's a perfect spot, and the letterbox should go back exactly in it or it may fall. Oh, one more thing. It may or may not be a good idea to visit in the winter: it may because certain things disappear in the winter, and having them there would make it hard to pull the letterbox out. It may not be a good idea because letterboxing rituals are probably quite difficult to do in the snow. Anyway, I guess all I can say now is good luck!:)
