Elizabeth Short was last seen alive in two places before she was found cut in half in Leimart Park / Crenshaw area. The first place was at the
Biltmore Hotel at 5th & Olive. At the hotel's bar they have a drink named after her. The inside of the hotel is beautiful, take a look. Go to the north side of the block which is 5th street. Closest to the hotels door look for the LA Opinion newspaper box.
The box is attached by magnet in center of square steel beam. Drop a paper, keys, act to give a good excuse to reach down,
or just be very patient. Make sure the box attaches in the same spot. Downtown is very busy with muggles
(zombies) even at night.
Elizabeth Short walked out the front of the hotel (originally Olive) from where box #1 is at and walked south on Olive to the #2 box.
Box #2 no book
At 9th & Olive southeast corner building this used to be a grill restaurant. Elizabeth was a freeloader and would hope that someone would pay for her meal. After she visited this restaurant, she was found dead the next morning. Across the street are green bushes surrounding an electric box. The box is on the Olive street side between the wall and the first round steel pole. About 2 feet up, slanted wood, the green 2x3 box is hanging by wire. Again stealth is key here, tie your shoe many muggles are around.
