7/4/09 I've been told that this letterbox is missing. I hope to replace it soon.
Your search begins at Dr. Louis Peer Memorial Park in Van Buren, AR. Drive through the main gate of the park. After you have driven a short distance you will see a pavilion on the right side of the road. Just past the pavilion is a small parking lot. Park your vehicle here. Look straight ahead. You should see a small lake and to the right you will see the rock dam. There is a concrete path below the slope from the parking lot. Take this path to the right and follow it over the dam to the other side of the lake. When you get to the end of the dam follow the path as it curves to the left along the edge of the lake. You will soon pass a large broken stump about 7 feet tall on your left and on the right of the path is a large flat white rock up the slope. Continue down the path until you come to a washed out area. Now you're getting closer. Continue further down the path where you will come upon 2 concrete flat rocks spaced about 1 foot apart. You're almost there. Start walking down the concrete path until you come upon 3 very large flat boulders on the left side of the path. "Smiles" can be found wedged under the backside of the largest boulder.
