"The World's Famous Address" was inspired by my favorite fictional character. I have been to his home and I have stood in his study . . . and I was happy with the experience!
To find this stamp:
Between Susanville and Westood, on HWY 36 is Roxie Peconom Campground. Pull in. Take note of the trail south of the cattle guard you pass. Park "around the tree" on your left. Make your way back to this trail south of the cattle guard and start your hunt.
Stroll along this trail, take it's lovely scene and hear the call of the wild. After a lone solider in grey, you will see his fallen comrade and all of his separated parts. Go to his stumpy roots. In the cervice of this staunch decapitated solider is "The World's Famous Address" .
This stamp is a series of 3 that was planted along this trail. These may not be accessible in the winter, as it snows here.
