The Real Milo Lighthouse
At last , a Lighthouse where we had expected to find one ~~ years ago .
If you have followed the stories and found the other boxes, then you know where Milo Light Preserve is located.
Directions – From Rt. 82 in Salem/Montville , turn north onto Rt. 163 and then right on Hershler Road . Pass the parking lot for the Kingdom Hall and park in the tiny pull off on the right for the Milo Light Preserve .
Milo Light Preserve is a delight for everyone.
To find The Real Milo Lighthouse will not be a long walk .
Pass around the gate and walk the easy trail . The rocks along the way are interesting and further on , they hide other treasures, but the trees are interesting too ,
Pass by some rock jumbles and ledges on both sides of the trail,as you walk up and down a gentle slope .
Soon , close to the trail on the right side , look up for a tall tree that looks like a four pronged fork, pointing to heaven . When the trees are in leaf , you will have to look very closely for this unusual tree. From that fork tree , turn due south and up on a small ledge guarded by trees standing on their toes , is a Black Birch- Double Necked Horse Tree.. Climb up to the Horse tree and in his tummy is The Real Milo Lighthouse .
Have fun , and if you come to the foundations you have missed the Fork Tree., but will find other treasures there .
