THE CHIEF
10/12/2009 Please NOTE -- the trail blazes have been re painted different colors . If you have an old map please read the color or the trail in brackets .Please find the new map on line or at trail heads .
So much has happened . His land is now a Preserve and the animals are safe , at least that worry is gone .
Hunting of a different nature now is all about . People come and go , so many different things and food to see and smell .
The Chief still likes his quiet places and especially the one that is close to his little short stone wall . Many evenings he sits by the wall perpendicular to the trail and watches the blue sky [ old map is pink sunset ].
At 140 degrees under a little ledge , is where you can meet him . Softly call to him .
Not too far away , he watches people take pictures of his treasured forest .
Be gentle and cover his little cave well .
