1/25/09 - I've reactivated this one because I got a report that it is still there.
Looks like this one has gone missing.

The Old South Cemetery is located on Downs St., off Rt72 just west of the intersection with Rt 229 and east of Memorial Park. This is a good one for old cemetery buffs. (I'm not exactly sure which word the old should go with, probably both.)
Go up the stairs and enter by the grave of Samuel Newell, the First Minister of Bristol, who died in 1789. Then wander through and find the Downs with the leaning tree. Go to the end of the wall at the opposite corner and look between the wall and the tree, behind the sparkly rock.
Make sure to cover well when you're done.
