Directions: In Ft. Pierce go on Route 1 to Indrio Road. Go east on Indrio, take a left(go north), on Old Dixie Highway. Take the first right(go east), over the railroad tracks onto a dirt road. D.J. Wilcox Natural Area parking lot is on the left. Park in the lot.
From the parking lot, go to the kiosk and pick up a phamplet. Read about the Aubrecht Homestead built in the 1920's. There are three remaining dead mango trees on the property. You will find the letterbox in one of these 3 trees. Number 10 on the Aubrecht Homestead Brochure gives you a hint. Enjoy the only snowman you will ever see in Florida. Don't put your hands where you can't see. Use a stick before you reach. Three teachers from Connecticut, designed this snowman. One carved, one supervised, and one retired and brought this Florida snowman down to Ft. Pierce. This letterbox is a celebration of some great teaching memories.
