The Trustees of Reservations have just opened a new property in Millis (in 2007). It's absolutely pristine, and hopefully will continue to stay that way. These boxes are placed to put the location on the map, so to speak, and to get others out to enjoy

This is approximately a 1 mile loop, the hike is mostly easy, with one moderate hill. Time to hike: approx 30 min (plus stamping in). I hiked this with my 2yr old daughter.
**** Parents, PLEASE be sure you are the one to re-hide the box. I have found many of my boxes lying out in plain site recently, and find the most recent visitors to be those with young children. Boxes left in sight are boxes that are destroyed. Thank you for your cooperation!
You will need a compass for this adventure.
Each box contains a solitary ink pad. If you feel creative, you may wish to bring additional colors: red, orange, yellow and grey/pale blue.
Dogs are allowed on the property (LEASHED!) but there is ample evidence of frequent horse use. Make sure you keep Lassie leashed, spooking horses is a very bad thing.
Follow the directions from the Trustees website

Turkey Letterbox
Enjoy the views of the Charles as you follow the trail. This is a VERY colorful area in the Fall!! As you pass through the first field, notice the big dead pine down to the left. We saw a huge hawk up in that tree on our first visit.
Continue past the gardening shed and notice the true "old growth" oak. Very few such trees remain in this part of MA, as much of the area was cleared in the late 1600's for farming.
Approach the oak, and from this side, take a heading of 290 degrees. 38 steps in that direction.
This turkey was enjoying a leisurely stroll out. New heading: 183 degrees, 116 (approx) steps.
Now face 268 degrees and walk forward 29 steps.
Finally, 208 degrees, behind the 2nd medium tree.
After carefully re-hiding the Turkey, return to the location that your first compass heading lead to. Continue on forward.
The Chickadee
Enjoy the surrounding beauty, but keep an eye afoot, for horses frequent this area.
After you ascend 'Mount Millis' , continue on until you pass through "ye olde boundary." Stop, look right. About 5 steps in is an old pile of logs. DO NOT MOVE ANY LOGS! The Chickadee is hiding here, you only need to lift the twigs.
Finish your stroll by continuing forward, you are almost done.
