Byfield Parish
First of all you must find the Byfield Parish Churches, both the old and the new. Then find a place to park and locate the old cemetery south of the churches. Walk through the entrance and locate John Andrew Scannel. Then you must proceed along the rock wall to the west and look for these heros: Herbert Fuller, Joseph Higgins, and George E. Doherty.
Keep a sharp lookout for Raymond Rogers and the Rogers – Cherry monument. Then look for Ralph Waye, Robert S. Tatyol and Asa Pingree. Then Bailey and Private Roger Winch. When you come to a Cross and A “Bee”, stop. Face West and walk 3 paces. Turn to the North, walk 13 paces until you find a “Tee.” Turn 90 degrees to the east and you will find what you seek.
