This box is easy to find from Atlantic Oaks Campground, Sheraton Four Points or the Cape Cod Rail Trail.
From the campground: Find your way to the Pet Walk/Bike Trail signs at the back of the campground and follow them to a big open area. Look left and see a big log across a grassy path. Take the path (which runs parallel to the bike trail). Walk until you see the end of the campground fence. There is a sign that is all washed out hanging on the fence. Start counting and go 90 steps then take the path on your left into the woods. A downed tree appears on your left, under the roots beneath bark and debris the silly starfish has washed ashore.
From the Rail Trail headed toward Wellfleet:
Pass the entrance to Atlantic Oaks Campground (a short distance after Arnold's). A short way away you'll pass a narrow dirt path on the left, continue on to a wider sandy path also on the left and take this. It will cross a narrower path as it heads into the woods. Ride in a very short way to a downed tree on the left, under the roots beneath bark and debris the silly starfish has washed ashore.
There are several paths in the woods that are nice to hike. Some lead to a pond. Great place to explore. Some trails end at Four Points Sheraton.
Please close tight and rehide well, this is a very heavily traveled area, especially in nice weather. Have someone you love check you for ticks! I'd love to hear from you if you find the box.
