Difficulty: Fairly strenuous hike.
Directions: From Farmington take I-84 West to Exit 35, follow 72 for a short way to Rt. 372 East. At intersection of 372 and 71A go south on 71A to West lane, a right turn. Parking for the trailhead is on the right.
Clues: Park and follow the blue with red dot trail to the left for about an hour until you reach a beautiful overlook on the where there is a tree with rocks around it and a plaque with Darin’s name on it. His friend from New Hampshire had it carved. With your back to the cliff, stand to the right of the memorial tree and look to 1 O'Clock to the biggest Evergreen tree. On the unmarked trail go to that tree and continue 24 paces on the trail beyond the tree. Look left to a double tree and examine the base.
After enjoying the scenic view, retrace your steps to your vehicle.
