Here, give me another sip o' that ale, lad. Thankee...so ye've heard of the Singing Sword, have ye? Aye, there be a raft o' bilge rats would like to find the place where that be hidden! I been guardin' the secret this many a year, but now I be minded to pass it on to ye. Ye and yer mother been good t'me through this curst sickness, and I trust ye to look after it proper when I be gone.
Listen close, now. To find the Singing Sword, ye must make your way as best ye can up the creek of Rancocas, t'the place them Frenchies call "Le Parc L'ong Breege." Anchor yer vessel and set off across the gangplank... 'twill take ye to a spot where ye must choose yer path. Steer away from the blue (though ye may find other tasty plunder that way, fit for the dread pirate Birbanto!) and turn to follow the color of blood. Ye'll keep t'water on yer starboard side, and watch t'port for the sight of rafts propped up on legs, like. Not far along there be a high sandy bank. Climb up and follow along the ridge t'port, till ye spy a gnarled piece of driftwood. Ye'll know 'tis the one by the stone in it that covers the place where the sword be hid.
When ye have checked on the sword, be certain to return it to its hiding place carefully, else it may fall too far into the hole where it rests. Good luck to ye, lad, and a fair wind fill yer sails and bring ye safe harbor!
