Got Gloves? LbNA #26566
This letterbox was planted for Halloween 2006 specifically for Mountain River Adventures. Every year MRA has a 'Fat Tire' festival here in Kernville at the end of October. Box was recarved for the Kernville Restamped event on 11/10/24.
Head to the Whiskey Flat trailhead at the end of Burlando Road and park in the lot. Start down the trail and keep to the main trail until you spot a "down watch for dogs" sign outside the fence along the dirt road parallel to the trail. There will also be a small yellow forest boundary sign against the fence facing the road. Just past the fork across from the signs is a short burnt stump next to a red rock on the right side of the trail. Box is tucked between the rock and under a flat rock.
