Even though this soccer field appears on the Medford Township Recreation website, it is no longer used...except maybe by the ghosts in the Pine Barrens!
The Historic Village of Medford has a quaint business district along Main Street. After browsing the shops, continue down Main Street towards Medford Lakes. At the second traffic light make a right on Jackson Rd. The next traffic light is at the intersection with Tuckerton Rd. Continue straight through this light for 1.2 miles. Here you will find the soccer field on the right. It's hidden behind the trees so look for one of the two gravel entrances.
Park and walk to the middle of the field. Standing with your back to Jackson Road, locate a large pine tree at 306 degrees. Your treasure is at the base of this tree.
While you're in the area, check out Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge down the road. Continue along Jackson Rd. until it is no longer paved. After a short distance you will see the refuge entrance on the right. Enjoy!
