I don't know how you're going to get there, but we ran aground on the east side of the distinctive notch on the south shore of a place Jim Hawkins might remember.
If I were drawing Jim a map, I'd steer him north on the wide path through the trees until he spotted a stump smack dab in the middle and some logs off to the right. I'd put my X at the NW end of the log most parallel to the path and cross my fingers that Jim would know enough to investigate the hole he'd find there.
I never seen a better boy than that, so I know I wouldn't have to warn him not to push what he might find there too far in, or remind him to bring gloves for the retrieval and to watch for creatures that might sting or bite and plants that may cause an itch. And if at the end of his adventure he were to say, "It was all quite scary, but I quite enjoyed it," I'd have to tell him that I concur, and most heartily.
